Pregnancy has been one of the most eye-opening experiences when it comes to understanding my body—how it changes, adapts, and honestly, how intense the hormonal rollercoaster can be.
As I’ve moved through this journey, I’ve found myself becoming more passionate about what comes next—not just during pregnancy, but postpartum too. I’m especially excited to continue expanding my product offerings to include more support for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the pelvic floor.
Because let’s be real—this is something women don’t talk about enough. And even more importantly, many don’t take action soon enough when it comes to caring for their pelvic floor after pregnancy. It’s such a crucial part of recovery, and it deserves way more attention than it gets.
Motherhood is often talked about as something that “begins” at birth—but in reality, it starts the moment your body begins to change. For me, that journey started nine months ago, and it’s been transformative in ways I didn’t expect.
I could go deep into the emotional and mental ups and downs (and trust me, there have been plenty), but that’s a conversation for another blog.
For now, I’m going to get straight to it and share some of my absolute favorites—products that have supported me through this journey and that I truly stand behind.
During my pregnancy favorites:
- love & fit maternity leggings (still are for after baby) seriously, recommend getting two pairs so that way when one is washing your golden
- Firming body oil- daily sometimes even twice (ask your doctor about the firming)
- unscented body lotion
-
face moisturizer (Switched to this one halfway through; Better ingredients)
- Feminine ph balanced wash- I started with a scented, then had an itchy problem, not related at all to products so I’ve gone completely unscented
- moisturizer for dryness daily In my intimate areas, hormone changes are crazy
- Sweat defense for any chafing or uncomfortable rubs
- Favorite outfit- had in multi colors & it was great to dress up or down.
- Prenatal gummies- everything else made my stuff sick or honestly I hate taking pills
After baby:
- love and fit maternity leggings
- nutri protein shakes
- made good soft bake bars
- maxi pad ice packs
-
Angled Peri bottle- Game changer
- disposable underwear- This is nice when you’re heavy. Some women just do diapers totally preference
- Regular underwear once you’re not so heavy
- Long maxi pads for the beginning
- Lighter pads towards the end (I’ll be honest, wearing pads and regular underwear not my favorite)
- witch hazel foam- This really helps to get into all the crevices
- tucks pads- These were nice for hemorrhoids and add extra witch hazel
- pH balanced, feminine wipes- All this witch hazel will literally dry you out, but be your best friend for healing
- Daily moisturizer- Which Hazel really dries you out
- Intimate refresher spray- Great because it’s a spray
- Unscented feminine wash- make sure you’re always using a pH balanced feminine wash (Make sure it actually is) Even when you’re not going through the changes of pregnancy. As a woman you’re changing every day.
- Derma Plast (Frida Has an upside down one that works better, but either or) Also will dry you out, but helps with the pain burn and itch
- Firming body oil- Use this all over your body is going through it head to toe
- unscented body lotion- I like the oil out of the shower, but enjoy your body lotion through the day
